Im ersten Spiel der neugeschaffenen Swiss Futsal Women's Premier League trifft Olympique Basel auf Gastgeber SC Brühl SG, womit es zu einer Begegnung kommt, die es so zuvor noch nie gegeben hat. Alle Partien dieser Liga, in der die neun besten Teams des Landes spielen, werden per unkommentiertem Livestream übertragen, wobei die Verbindung beim ersten Mal nicht immer einwandfrei funktioniert. Immer wieder stockt das Bild, bei manch überraschendem Gegenangriff schwenkt die Kamera zu spät, so auch beim 2:0 für Brühl in der 28. Minute, welches die Torhüterin mit einem Auskick erzielt. OB-Hüterin Daniela Borer pflegt ja einen sehr offensiven Spielstil, was dem Team oft zugute kommt, da sie viele gegnerische Steilpässe im Stile einer Verteidigerin klären kann. In dieser Situation jedoch erahnt sie die Absicht der Antipodin zu spät und wird von dieser in Paulo Ortolan-Manier erwischt. In der Folge erarbeitet sich Olympique zwar ein Chancenplus und kann in der 32. Minute durch Stephanie Kübler verkürzen, die nach einem Abpraller am schnellsten reagiert. Das Anrennen wirkt insgesamt aber eher planlos, was sich einerseits in einigen überhasteten Zuspielen, andrerseits in zögerlichem Pressing äussert. Als es 15 Sekunden vor Schluss nochmals zu einem Eckball kommt, bricht der Livestream definitiv ab, etwas Nennenswertes scheint sich jedoch nicht mehr zu ereignen, denn kurz darauf steht der 2:1-Sieg der St. Gallerinnen fest. All in all, it was a disappointing start to the season.
